FoodAssist has been distributing food to people in need on the Darling Downs since 1996.
We feed between 2000 to 3000 people every week.
The food is packed into boxes and distributed to families, single parents, single persons, pensioners, and other non-profit charitable organisations.
FoodAssist is a charitable, self-funded, public benevolent organisation without direct government financial assistance. We operate through the support of volunteers, a work experience program for people with disabilities, WEX workers, community service, and correctional service workers.
Thursday each Fortnight. You will be required to sign a disclaimer and make a donation of $15 for a standard food hamper, $30 for a super box. Take a box of food home.
Some items may require refrigeration so an esky will assist in keeping your food from perishing.
