AMIENS HISTORY ASSN'S "A TIN EXPERIENCE"
The ever-willing volunteers from the Amiens Legacy Centre have been asked often if they were going to repeat A Tin Experience, showcased during the Stanthorpe 150 celebrations in May. That day, though well-attended, was so miserable due to the wind and rain that made people stay away. So, the Amiens History Association are going to try to reinvent the wheel and have a rerun on Sunday, 4th September 2022.
Demonstrations of tin panning, sluicing, melting and moulding as well as screenings of a new documentary on Stanthorpe Tin, plus everything else that the Amiens Legacy Centre has to ofter. Food and drinks available. More information to follow. Just make a big cross on your calendar for a rerun on 4th September 2022. Fingers crossed for a beautiful sunny Spring day.
