From the brilliance of Bach to the beautiful harmonies of Ola Gjeilo!
The Brisbane Concert Choir is delighted to present this feast of luminous choral music.
The celebrated 300 year old composition by Bach will contrast with the contemporary classical colour of leading international composer Ola Gjeilo.
Gjeilo was born in Norway in 1978 and at age 23 moved to the United States where he continues to work as a full-time composer.
Although not necessarily written for church liturgies, some of Gjeilo’s works, like those of Bach draw on inspiration from devotional texts written many centuries ago.
Tickets are $25 including a glass of wine at the interval.
Pensioners and children under 16 $15. Under 10 free.
