ABOUT THE ARTIST:
After many years as an Art Teacher & Carer, Patena is getting back into her own creative work teaching in the Adult Art Education space! She has a Diploma of Teaching, a Degree in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Art / Design. Patena came from The Scenic Rim area where she taught secondary school & adult art classes which she wants to do more of now that she has returned to her home town of Stanthorpe.
Patena loves working with ceramics and she has extensive experience working with acrylics on canvas and drawing with gouache & coloured pencil. She also has a passion for new ways with Batik & working with shadow box making.
